00:00:00:00 - 00:00:15:25 Unknown You cannot hold it. You don't own it. Central banks have been buying gold like crazy. Value your wealth in ounces versus depreciating currencies. 00:00:15:25 - 00:00:42:23 Unknown Welcome to the Real Money Show. Great to be with you. We've got some great information for you throughout the next half hour about physical gold and silver. And a lot of it is very, very exciting. Of course, there's been the pullback we'd say almost over the course of the the year. Now since January. And if we what we would say is if you loved silver at 100, you should be ecstatic at 50. 00:00:42:26 - 00:01:06:03 Unknown And some of the information we're going to bring to you today should hopefully get you excited about the future of precious metals and not worry so much about the current price situation. We should, look at it as a gift. Ultimately. So, you know, Jerry, I hopefully we'll get to the, the Bank of Canada raised interest rates, and we want to have a discussion about that. 00:01:06:05 - 00:01:37:15 Unknown But really, what I've noticed is let's start with the PsyOps. There's been a couple of articles recently that have come out about, gold being lab grown. Alchemy, if you will. I noticed that, and I put a post out on our X that there's been 11 of these articles over that the last 14 years. You know, the most recent is that, they've managed to turn Mercury into gold. 00:01:37:17 - 00:01:59:20 Unknown Social media is a buzz. Tell us a little bit about that. Should we be worried about our jobs? Well, I think, you know, talking about the relevancy of gold and silver is still very relevant. Always has been. Always. Well, even through all of the the different types of, you know, news items and news, things that come out regarding the changing of the industry. 00:01:59:21 - 00:02:21:29 Unknown We've heard about, you know, gold 2.0 Bitcoin was going to replace gold. Tether the stablecoin, you know, being a replacement for stability. But we know that tether went out and accumulated tons of gold. The number one gold buyer last year. We follow smart money. And if the smart money continues to buy gold, the countries in their central banks acquiring over 1000 tons of gold. 00:02:22:02 - 00:02:47:25 Unknown But alchemy, you know, this is this has never work. They've even proposed, replacing gold in silver from industrial, applications. Replacing gold from, space shuttles, going out into space. They did that actually to the point where then the door fell off of this space shuttle. These are very unique assets, not just monetary precious metals. 00:02:47:25 - 00:03:12:06 Unknown These are elements on the table of elements with unique properties, properties that are applicable in industries, especially silver, as we know. But these are monetary assets and they have qualified as money over thousands of years. So, there's only two precious metals, gold and silver. And that has survived in the test of time as currencies come and go. 00:03:12:13 - 00:03:39:29 Unknown Gold and silver remain. And we know that all of this is just noise that you have to filter through. And in my personal opinion, it's there to dissuade and put you into analysis paralysis mode. And at the end of it all, you just keep your head in the sand and do nothing about it. Well, you know, what I noticed is people really jumped on to this, that they've been able to take mercury and these isotopes and create gold out of it. 00:03:39:29 - 00:04:00:22 Unknown Of course, what most of the people on social media aren't telling you, if they read the articles is that it's basically radiated for 12 years, right? So you can't touch it for 12 years. And I think that they at max, what they think that they could produce is like two tonnes when they're going through a lot more than that. 00:04:00:22 - 00:04:21:09 Unknown Every single year. So it's ridiculous on its face. And the fact is, is that even if it was possible and even if you could scale it, it's going to be a very long time before you can actually even touch the stuff. So look, alchemy has been around since time immemorial and ultimately that's what it is. It's just we're going to try to sell you this. 00:04:21:10 - 00:04:48:27 Unknown We want you to invest in this company. And that's what it is. And they just seem to find these companies in these scams at the same time that they're also looking for lower prices. So another article came out as well this week talking about copper being a perfect replacement for silver. And I, of course, it doesn't conduct thermally as well as, silver and it doesn't conduct electrically as well as silver. 00:04:48:29 - 00:05:07:10 Unknown And when it tarnishes, as you know, it turns blue. And that can gunk up connectors. Correct. So and and what it doesn't tell you as well is that you need a whole lot more of it to do the same thing that silver does. So I get that it's cheaper price per ton, but it's not always what you're looking for. 00:05:07:15 - 00:05:31:06 Unknown Right. It's not running as efficiently. And all of these things. So I, I made a comment, I was like, this is like you're going back in time from iPhones to to Commodore 64, right? So, so again, silly on its face. Right. So let's talk about what's actually happening in the silver market, for instance. Someone I follow, he's always tracking these type of things. 00:05:31:06 - 00:06:01:27 Unknown Bob Coleman put out a silver ETF alert. He mentioned that shares continue to grow. They're at over half a billion shares 1.3 5,000,000oz. They are at the highest that, they've been since the market was $30 lower. So the ETFs are increasing demand, even though the market is $30 lower. That has got to be exciting news. That's very exciting. 00:06:01:27 - 00:06:21:10 Unknown And it also is significant as you always need more and more of the fractional stuff, the shares of the real thing to keep that market going, to keep the interest going. You'll always need more and more similar to debt and the interest on the debt because of the interest rates that were that that just went up in Canada. 00:06:21:13 - 00:06:40:22 Unknown The US kept their interest rates flat. The European Union flat. But you will now need more, more and more currency printed not just for the banks or the country that is also in debt. They need more debt, but as well the Canadians need more and more debt as well. They need to borrow more, get more loans to service the debt. 00:06:40:22 - 00:07:02:10 Unknown It's a debt cycle. Well, we'll jump into that in just a moment. But you're you're talking about needing more paper, right. So Bob Coleman was saying that what you would see is that silver market could be at a point where the short side has pressed the market to the point, hoping the longs would capitulate. Instead, capital inflows into the ETF continue. 00:07:02:11 - 00:07:22:27 Unknown We could see a rally develop as the supply of offers, begin to dry up, meaning those who are short end up with a liquidity squeeze and the market could jump up. Yeah. And so, you know what you're seeing right now is, in my mind, a mirroring of what we saw back in January. Yeah, that was an amplification. 00:07:22:27 - 00:07:47:26 Unknown It had some issues with the market itself that caused it to move higher as a result. And this is the same sort of market mechanics working on the opposite side, I know. So we've gone from over over to way under. And I think it's a buying opportunity. And I really liked when I saw Craig Lemke this week talking to, Sprott and him just, you know, he's a billionaire. 00:07:47:28 - 00:08:11:29 Unknown He owns a lot of silver, a lot of gold. No panic. Just saying you've got to be patient here. You don't think like a trader. You think like someone who's protecting against the long term of devaluing dollars, and that bleeds into the debt and that leads into the debts. You know, with debt, this perpetual debt cycle, not just here in Canada, but it's happening around the world and has led to immense loss of purchasing power. 00:08:11:29 - 00:08:45:11 Unknown And that's the major, viewpoint that I have. Everything that we own as an asset is denominated in a currency that is being devalued, the rate by which we don't, you know, you don't know exactly what that rate of devaluation is. The rate of inflation is stated being around 3%. But according to the Stats Canada reports that there was often talk about how the rate of inflation was changed because during the 70s, Jeremy, the average rate of inflation was 8%, as high as 12.4% in 1974. 00:08:45:14 - 00:09:28:28 Unknown But then during that time there were four revisions of how they calculated the CPI, specifically the expenditure weight. So, as we know, when you're calculating a, inflation, there's housing, food, you know, mortgage costs, all of these things, each of those categories have a particular influence percentage, the weight, this this category has a higher weight. But even if the price, let's say, for example, food goes up 10% and you reduce the influence or the weight of the food category from 25, down to 15%, you can actually drop the rate of inflation while price is continually right. 00:09:28:28 - 00:09:54:28 Unknown It's a huge okay, so issue that we have purchasing power okay. So that explains though how they were able to get inflation down. But now you have a central bank like in Canada where they raised interest rates saying inflation is up. Right. So yes you can say okay, if people are not spending as much going out for dinners, that lowers that index. 00:09:54:28 - 00:10:15:14 Unknown That would actually bring down inflation. But the the, the Bank of Canada is saying we we have to guard against inflation. So there's no productivity in Canada. There's no productivity. But you're, you're you're still seeing inflation. So it's the stagflation everything. So why are they fighting it. What is causing inflation to rise that they have to fight it. 00:10:15:16 - 00:10:38:03 Unknown Well you know it's it's the money printing that we have seen over the last since 2020, the Bank of Canada, started printing ad nauseum. The Bank of Canada raised for Covid relief during the Covid lockdown era, about 400% of our GDP was printed. So the four times the size of our economy, currency went out the door. 00:10:38:03 - 00:11:08:06 Unknown And you cannot turn that down. Inflation is out the door. I mean, you can't lower that. You have to have growth on the offset of that inflation, which we don't have in Canada. It's a stagflation area environment which benefits precious metals. And people are looking. And the thing with yields that you're getting inside of the bank, unfortunately, because if the real rate of inflation, if we go back to the way it was calculated with normal weights and measures back in the 70s, we can go back to 13 to 15%. 00:11:08:08 - 00:11:37:28 Unknown You know, Larry Summers from Harvard, he revealed that in 2022, the posted rate was 9%. Remember the 40 year high inflation? It was actually 18% if you included mortgage costs. So what type of yield are you getting from your ghic? And if you adjusted for real rates, you're losing. But because your your funds are stagnant in the banking system, they can continue this perpetual debt cycle, which ultimately is stagflation or high inflation, low growth. 00:11:38:01 - 00:11:58:01 Unknown And we have a way out that, you know, in some ways, what you're what you're suggesting here, though, is that inflation is much higher than the Bank of Canada is even saying. And if that is the case, then they should be raising rates way higher. But here's my rebuttal to that. The thing is, is that you have no growth and you're claiming inflation. 00:11:58:01 - 00:12:26:17 Unknown So how is this working? And what I'm seeing is the Bank of Canada is having to go out, find buyers for the debt. The interest rate that they're charging is ultimately charged, has to be paid back by Canadians. And what they're also paying for is the inflation itself being caused by, as you said, the debt. Right. So not only are they are we paying for the reason of it, but we're paying for the cure, right? 00:12:26:17 - 00:12:51:24 Unknown So we're getting we're getting double the whammy on right. Because we didn't ask for this inflation. We didn't ask to borrow this money. We didn't ask to where it's going. We weren't asked where it's going. So this, this inflation of of having to pay debt is what is what's drawing our dollar purchasing power down. Yes. It's not the the Bank of Canada isn't fighting production. 00:12:51:26 - 00:13:13:13 Unknown They're not saying the economy is so hot. We have to try to slow it down. There's they're effectively saying without, you know, by omission that the government's borrowed too much money. It's, it's affecting inflation because there's so much dollars out there eventually that rises into inflation, which we've all seen. You took your Cerb check. Yeah. And now hopefully not. 00:13:13:13 - 00:13:30:11 Unknown And now you have to pay for it. And you're paying for it at the grocery store. And you're paying for it at the, at the gas station because they're not lowering taxes. Right. As the prices rise, you're still paying 13% in Ontario on everything that you're that you're buying, right? As the prices rise, you'd think, okay, we're getting enough into the market. 00:13:30:11 - 00:13:53:20 Unknown Well, alright. So but this is the this is the exact nature of the type of banking system that we're dealing with. A debt based financial system. Talking about the even the silver ETFs. That's a fraction the fractional banking system that we're exposed to here in Canada with our deposits. It's also a fraction using the collateral. What is relevant, what is being sort of made fun of or scoffed at or demonized. 00:13:53:25 - 00:14:20:23 Unknown The main focus is on gold and silver. Well, we can make gold and silver. Why are you even focusing on the money on the real collateral? There's a reason for this disinformation, right? Because our attention cannot be on that. But I think the stealth inflation is no more. And the fact that that we are now aware that we have a a shift out of the debt based financial system, and the exciting news is a transition away from that type of system, fiat systems. 00:14:20:23 - 00:14:45:28 Unknown And they all crack at the seams in the run to precious metals will be explosive. That's a permanent portfolio strategist that gave us that quote. And the future looks very bright. Despite the temporary headwinds in precious metals primarily driven by the midterms. I like your points. I just want to stick on the the the rise in interest rate, because what they're doing is they they they want you to pay for what they're doing of borrowing the money. 00:14:46:02 - 00:15:04:15 Unknown Yeah, right. So you're getting it twice. And the only way to break the system is to not accept the Cerb check. Yeah. And the only way to not accept the Cerb check or to take the Cerb check and go buy gold with it. And I think right now it's you see the lows in the gold and silver market. 00:15:04:17 - 00:15:26:16 Unknown And you don't think that it's going to do its job right. You're looking at the real medicine and you're going look this doesn't look like it's actually going to going to help me get over the the yeah. To recover the loss of the purchasing power, to understand that you have to go back five years, ten years, 15, 20 years, which we understand. 00:15:26:16 - 00:15:46:02 Unknown Yeah that the markets rise over time. We don't want to look at the six month or even a year, you know, look, even on those cases, we've had three down years in the last 20 years. And gold. Right. All of them have been in low single digits if at all. So yeah, you know, those are very small against the gains. 00:15:46:04 - 00:16:06:16 Unknown So I think that that you just have to break the toxic cycle of what the government's trying to keep you in, which is this kind of chicken in the egg. We don't know where inflation's coming from, but we've got to fight it somehow. Right. So, I just think take advantage of the low prices in the gold market right now because it is a gift. 00:16:06:18 - 00:16:46:27 Unknown They're telling you, look, you can buy silver this cheap. This is your chance. If you understand what's up against you, then you know how to break out of it. And that's why we believe in in physical assets, right? You know, getting over the hump of realizing that the rate of inflation is not what it is, but you when you see price, price is being translated to us as a gauge, you know, gold and silver have pulled back, you know, silver, especially over 50% since January to the sweet spot of 50, $52 US, heading into this midterm, midterm season. 00:16:46:27 - 00:17:06:27 Unknown Now, what's very interesting, Jeremy and I pull this up and this is information from gold price.com and the LBM fix. Yeah. What is very interesting over the past, 20 years or even going back 50 years, right after the election, the midterm elections, when all of the, the, you know, everything settled down when everything sells, what's going on? 00:17:06:27 - 00:17:37:23 Unknown Right. Precious metals continue to perform, perform about 5% after three months after midterms and about double back to double digits after a year. But seasonality as well after midterm elections, plus seasonal and precious metals going back 40 years. We see that gold performs very well in these times of November, December, just like last year when we launched, when silver launched from $50 up to $120. 00:17:37:23 - 00:17:57:12 Unknown Because of the paper and a lot of the margin and leverage that was in the market that is now wiped out, the fundamental driver still remain, which is physical demand. And I think the theme over the last year, not talking about keeping money where it is and status quo, there's a quote by Mark Twain I think is resonates for most of our investors. 00:17:57:12 - 00:18:20:08 Unknown Jeremy, people are today. Yes, we want return to beat the inflation rate which gold and silver provide. You know, gold has performed very well over the last few years. Some people are up to 300% in the portfolios, defying all of those things. People are more concerned about the return of their money than the return on their money and access to your money. 00:18:20:10 - 00:18:35:24 Unknown You better have access to it. If you can't hold it, you don't own it. That's one of our mottos. And then we saw this with the fractional reserve banking system, when people tried to get their money out of the bank. So they're trying to quell those concerns. We're seeing commercials from CDC telling us that the banks are covered. 00:18:35:24 - 00:19:00:16 Unknown Don't worry about if there's ever a folding of the banks. And then similar. Jamie Dimon spoke this week about gold, talking about protecting the US system and particularly the the banks. He brought up gold. Well, you know the credibility is shot. But he's saying that we can we can provide you with the gold when necessary. But that's not the case when people want their money back, when the credibility is shot, they want to take control of their money. 00:19:00:16 - 00:19:21:21 Unknown And that's what people are doing today. Yeah. I think it's interesting that Jamie Dimon, number one, even brought up gold. And why is this guy talking about gold all of a sudden? Right. Number two, talking about those countries that want to repatriate their gold and trying to in some ways, very casually encourage them to not do that. Right. 00:19:21:23 - 00:19:39:12 Unknown I think that's an interesting thing, why he would talk about it at all. If it were if it were our clients, we would be encouraging them to diversify. Yeah, we'd say, yeah, take it home. Absolutely. Have some at home. But you might want some in the United States to, just in case you're doing trade deals and. 00:19:39:12 - 00:19:56:22 Unknown Great. In case there's, you know, imbalances you might want to take care of. It's a great place to trade. That might be one of the reasons. Why are they bringing it home? Maybe they don't believe that it's a good place to store it. In which case. All right, we understand. But we hope that in another few years you might want to bring it. 00:19:56:29 - 00:20:23:05 Unknown But I think ultimately that everything that we're talking about today is what I keep thinking about is, okay, we're we're on the verge in November. We're on the verge of the midterms. Everything seems to have gone quiet. Yeah, right. The the cryptocurrency acts, the, the the clarity, clarity act, the the trying to get peace deals together. 00:20:23:05 - 00:20:43:29 Unknown All of these things seem to have gone quiet. It's we're all going to wait till after the after the midterms. And then you bring out that information that you said, where it shows that things can start to really happen in the gold and silver market, and you start to get excited because you realize, okay, in another couple weeks, now the price is probably most likely moving higher. 00:20:44:01 - 00:21:02:18 Unknown We call it pennies to the down, dollars to the exact what what are you waiting for, silver to drop to $20 again? Do you know what happens? Mine's shut down. There's already a strike on on, a major mine in in Mexico. Believe me, they start. Price starts to drop to a level where the miners just go. 00:21:02:18 - 00:21:23:26 Unknown We're not making any money here. Not that we don't need to keep doing this. Just shut the door. We'll hoard it. Well, hoard it. So this isn't a stock that can drop to zero. Gold and silver can't drop to zero. So where's the low in the market. We feel we're pretty much there. So it's it's as exciting as it can be knowing just like last year, any minute it could turn around and start to move up very quickly. 00:21:23:26 - 00:21:40:10 Unknown It can go up quickly. It can come down quickly. You can go down quickly. Guess what? It can go up quickly. So I think we have to look at the sale that we have right now. Yeah. For those who already own it, just exercise some patience. Give it a couple weeks. I think you're going to start to see some exciting things. 00:21:40:10 - 00:21:58:10 Unknown If you've never owned it before, you can contact Guildhall and we'll show you how to get involved in the market. You can go to our E store, Guild Hall, precious metals.com, and you can even set a price alert there. So if you're great, if you might want to say, well, you know, if it breaks above 56, I want to get back in the market. 00:21:58:12 - 00:22:23:21 Unknown That could be a really good thing. Go to the price alert. But if you also want to hold physical, you know, we talked about ETFs being an investment with physical gold and silver. You can hold that actually in your RSP. And that is going to be stored allocated segregated. So you're going to get your serial numbers. It's going to be stored in a Brinks vault which is outside the banking system which is exactly what we're talking about here. 00:22:23:21 - 00:22:46:25 Unknown Get out of the banking system, own assets 1 to 1. You're not you're not owning a fraction of a share of something with counterparty risk. You have access to the vault. Enjoy it while it's in the RSP. So you're sheltering from all of the taxes. But as you grow this asset, when you're up to 300% and we're expecting multiplication from here, Jeremy, the best is yet to come. 00:22:46:25 - 00:23:08:20 Unknown Silver and gold are coiled springs, the most relevant asset class monetary precious metals. When we have a currency problem, it is imperative that you get money. You get monetary metals. Copper is important. Base metals are important. Critical minerals are important. However, gold and silver, they're the only two precious because that were precious quantity. It's that they're money that they're so intrinsic in value. 00:23:08:20 - 00:23:41:06 Unknown So Jerry, at this point I feel like we might be, accused of being perma bulls. So let's quickly talk about what it would look like for you or I to start selling some of our precious metals. What kind of things would you be looking for to say? You know what? I'm willing to sell a little now. Okay, so we look at the trends from demand, which we see despite, low investor demand, India saying we're buying 6500 tons within six months. 00:23:41:06 - 00:23:59:00 Unknown That's massive. They read things. What did they say? Not registered it, but they basically allotted for it to say this is how much we would accept. And you got to do that to give the dealers and wholesalers a chance to figure things out because there's no supply. Yeah. Talk about burying the lead, buddy. You brought it out right at the end. 00:23:59:02 - 00:24:16:27 Unknown No. Well, this is this is relevant stuff. So we look at the trends of course. Then we look at cycles. So with precious metals investors like myself who also a currency trader, we use trends and we use ratios like the 50 year super cycles that are still in play. This third third super cycles in play, a lot of topside potentials ahead. 00:24:16:27 - 00:24:37:06 Unknown What do you do? We look at silver two-goal ratios. Silver to Dow ratio. Goal to Dow goal to real estate. Silver to real estate. There are times where you may want to roll out depending on your goal. Is your goal just to preserve your purchasing power? Or are you, an investor who can afford you or you or someone who can't afford a home and is housing affordability for you? 00:24:37:06 - 00:25:02:08 Unknown While 2000oz of silver. Back in the 80s when silver to gold ratio hit 16 to 1, bought you a house in Toronto. A house that right now is about 1.3 4.490 USD, which is where we can see this happening. Multiply by 2000oz. Convert it to the weakness. Right now it's something like probably about 1000oz or something. So these are strategies that we employ depending on where you're at and what your goals are. 00:25:02:08 - 00:25:21:05 Unknown We want to strategize that for you. Yeah I think I think there's two things that I would want to be looking for. The ratios are a key point because it's and it's not just one ratio. It's the fact that what you're looking for is understanding whether or not it's undervalued, fair value or over value. And that's what those ratios are help you do. 00:25:21:05 - 00:25:41:13 Unknown And it's not just one. It's looking at all of them together. Right. And so for example you see in silver it will fall. That ratio between gold and silver will fall when they're on a run. Right. We came down from I think 80 down to 50. Right. So so you can look at that as one indicator. And the biggest one I think is understanding sound money. 00:25:41:18 - 00:26:01:17 Unknown Yeah. You know that that you have a currency that you can have faith in that you can make economic decisions long term with. Right. That's the key. Because in the currency that we have, everything we've discussed on the show today is about the fact that inflation robs you of that purchasing power, which robs you of the ability to make decisions long term. 00:26:01:25 - 00:26:19:16 Unknown Now, if you're making a lot of money, then maybe you don't care because you're you're overcoming it, right? But for other people who care about their wealth, not that they don't care about their wealth, I should say, but that have to have to really think about it. You you need to make sure that you're protecting it long term. 00:26:19:16 - 00:26:44:18 Unknown Yes. That it that in ten, 20, 30 years you're able to buy the same amount of stuff. And I think that a sound money system provides that for you.
